The Search for a Boat

The condensed version: Searching for a big boat is no easy task, especially in areas prone to hurricanes and flooding. There are lots of rotten boats for sale. I traveled for hours in all directions in NC and drove to Charleston, SC looking for something suitable to live aboard. I didn’t know a whole lot about yachts at the time though I did know I didn’t want something that smelled like mold and was falling apart. Looking on Pop Yachts got me a lot of emails and even a look at Ric Flair’s upgraded 26ft. Sea Ray named Wooo. It was nice and maybe I should have bought Wooo being that it was turnkey ready.
