June 12,2024: Tropical Storm Alberto began over the Southwestern Gulf of Mexico as Potential Tropical Cyclone One (PTC). Alberto was the first storm of the 2024 Hurricane Season and had a short run over the Gulf of Mexico, making its way into MX, TX ,and LA. Tropical Storm Alberto made landfall near Mexico’s Tampico, Tamaulipas. Alberto brought heavy rains, winds, and flooding into TX and MX.
